Department of Organic Certification, Tamil Nadu, India, is a certification body for organic production which was established as a Government Department on 17 of May 2007; it has its head office at Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu State, India.

The main aim of the organisation is to promote all activities related to inspection and certification of the organic agricultural sector in accordance with NPOP norms and imparting training.
Tamil Nadu Department of Organic Certification (TNOCD) is newly established organic certification body and is accredited by APEDA, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
Director of Seed Certification is additionally designated as Director of Organic Certification. One Quality Manager in the cadre of Deputy Director, One Evaluator in the cadre of Assistant Director and Six Organic Certification Inspectors in the cadre of Agricultural Officers have been appointed under the Director of Organic Certification to look after Organic Certification work in the state

All certification decisions are overseen by a central Certification Committe which is made up of a range of representatives of the organic sector. The Certification Committee also acts as the stakeholder body of the organisation in terms of overseeing and review of policy and effective implementation of the quality system.
